Justus has a sad past from Romania, where he was severely mistreated as a puppy, making him very fearful of men. But miracles happen: with endless time and love, Justus has learned to trust again. Today, he thoroughly enjoys human affection and even loves being petted by men! His old fractures have healed well, though he limps a little when the weather changes. What’s especially sweet: after the death of his sister Lotta, the formerly white male dog suddenly developed light brown spots the color of her fur – his “Lotta spots.” In his foster home today, he proves to be a clever, curious cuddle bug who only develops true detective ambition when sniffing out medication hidden in sausages. He is living proof that love ultimately heals everything.
