How to Find Us – Your Directions to the De Hun’nenhoff Foundation
The De Hun’nenhoff Foundation’s sanctuary is located in Reimerdingen, near the heather blossom town of Schneverdingen (Heidekreis district). Thanks to our central location in the triangle between Hamburg, Bremen, and Hanover, we are easily accessible by car and public transport.
How to get here by car
Directions from Hamburg (North)
Coming from Hamburg, the fastest route is via the A7 motorway (towards Hanover/Kassel) or via the A1 / B3:
Via the A7: Take the Bispingen / Schneverdingen exit. Follow the signs on the L211 towards Schneverdingen. Drive through Schneverdingen towards Reimerdingen / Hemsen.
Via the A1 / B3: Take the A1 exit Rade and follow the B3 towards Soltau. After Welle, turn right onto the L171 towards Schneverdingen and follow the signs to Reimerdingen.
Directions from Bremen (West)
Coming from Bremen, take the A1 motorway towards Hamburg:
Take the Stuckenborstel exit and follow the B75 via Rotenburg (Wümme) to Hemslingen.
In Hemslingen, turn onto the L170 and continue towards Schneverdingen, or turn off via Lünzen/Hemsen to Reimerdingen.
Directions from Hanover / Soltau (South)
Coming from Hanover, take the A7 motorway directly towards Hamburg:
Leave the A7 at the Schneverdingen / Soltau-Nord exit.
Follow the B3 towards Schneverdingen / Wolterdingen and continue on the country road directly into the village of Reimerdingen to Reimerdinger Straße 50.
Arriving by train and bus
The nearest train station is Schneverdingen (connected via Erixx / RB38 on the Hamburg-Buchholz – Soltau – Hanover route). From there, you can easily reach Reimerdingen by taxi, local bus lines, or the Heidekreis local community bus.
