Poultry
There’s nothing better than sitting by our pond and watching the geese and ducks bathe. After a stressful day at the office, it’s just the thing.
While some relaxedly swim their laps on the water, two turkeys and several chickens live right next door on our animal sanctuary. These retired laying hens no longer produce a high yield of eggs, but that doesn’t matter here: whether it’s a Rhode Island Red, a New Hampshire, or an exotic Ayam Cemani—they all enjoy their species-appropriate, stress-free life and love the many enrichment activities on the farm.
In addition to our dogs, the farm is also home to sheep and various types of poultry—including chickens, turkeys, and ducks. Each of these animals contributes in its own way to the special life on the farm.
Our sheep are quiet and attentive residents who radiate a lot of serenity. The poultry, on the other hand, provides lively variety: the chickens and ducks explore their surroundings together, and our turkeys impress with their very own unique character.
All animals receive species-appropriate care and are given plenty of space, peace, and enrichment. We pay attention to their individual needs and enable them to live as natural a life as possible. This creates a diverse and harmonious coexistence of humans and animals on our farm.
