Ian

Ian came to us in February 2020 as an absolute emergency because he had bitten someone in his old home out of overwhelm. Initially, the bulldog showed a lot of fear with us, but with plenty of patience and love, he thawed out very quickly. Today, he shows us his true colors: he is simply sweet and incredibly affectionate and cuddly with our caregivers! Health-wise, however, the handsome guy is a bit of a hard-luck case and has already needed emergency surgery for swallowed toy balls and abscesses. He mastered all these hurdles like a true fighter. While he remains extremely suspicious and watchful toward strangers, anyone who wins his trust finds a loyal friend for life. When he sits attentively in front of you, he looks like a perfect little butler—even if at that moment he’s probably just hoping for a treat!
