Smilla

Smilla arrived at Hun’nenhoff in June 2020, at approximately 12 years old. Her past was marked by deep distrust: Although she lived with an elderly lady for years, she was never tame, and humans remained extremely threatening to her. For years, the reclusive cat lived safely hidden behind the sofa, only truly coming alive among other cats. But with endless patience, calm, and love, a small miracle happened: Smilla gained trust and discovered how wonderful cuddles are! This sweet senior, who receives daily medication for a thyroid condition, is truly blossoming in her later years and would love to make up for all the missed cuddle time.
