Rocky’s journey began under unimaginably difficult circumstances in Russia, where his spine was broken by brutal violence. Yet, this cruel act couldn’t even begin to destroy his unbroken will to live! Originally, this brave fellow only came to us as a rehab guest. His adoptive family wanted him to receive physical support, and after a few months, he initially returned to them. However, since no suitable physiotherapist could be found there, he traveled for a second rehabilitation – and was ultimately never picked up. For us, there was no hesitation: We permanently welcomed him into our family. His difficult experiences have left deep marks; Rocky is a sensitive soul who needs time to settle in. He is distrustful of strangers, and new environments cause him stress. But once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll experience an incredibly funny and playful dog.
