Before coming to us, Raik went through a sad odyssey of five previous owners, which left him traumatized and standoffish. But we know: behind every rough exterior, there’s a story. With plenty of patience and understanding, the former “wild boy” has become a loyal companion who would go through fire for his caregivers. His heart beats especially for his volunteer friend Frithjoff—when he enters the yard, there’s no stopping Raik. This powerful male dog loves long walks and cozy picnics in the countryside. Every day, Raik shows us once again that trust and loyal bonds aren’t a matter of origin, but a matter of time and love.
