Lucy’s past in Romania is marked by unimaginable suffering: after a car accident, she was simply left behind, lost her leg in a clinic, and unfortunately experienced further violence and exclusion there and in the subsequent animal shelter. When she came to us, she was understandably deeply suspicious of strangers. At the Hun’nenhoff, this gentle beauty has finally found safety, warmth, and genuine affection. Today, she is truly blossoming in her dog group. The absolute highlight: she has had her own prosthesis for a while now and is practicing hard with it! The new prosthetic training gives her unexpected energy. Lucy is an incredibly brave, sweet dog whose unwavering will to live and infectious joy enchant us every single day.
